What makes it worth your while to work as a salad bar attendant?
I had always wanted to work in the food service industry. And since I am a whizz at creating salads, it is a pleasure to work as a salad bar attendant.
What have been your duties as a salad bar attendant in the past?
I have been actively working in this role for over 3 years now. My main work is to man assigned salad bars, to ensure that customers are provided by the best services there are. In addition to this, I have been responsible for educating customers about the different types of available salads and their ingredients, suggesting the right salads to complement their food, and handle cash and credit card transactions.
What skills do you believe are needed to work as a salad bar attendant?
If one wants to work as a salad bar attendant, it is imperative to possess exceptional skills in tossing salads. One also has to know which sauces to use for which salad, and be able to create sandwiches and mini burgers as well. In addition to this, it is imperative to possess exceptional customer service and communication skills, if you want to work as a salad bar attendant.
How do you feel about working on your feet all day?
Working on my feet is something that I have to do if this is the career line that I want peruse. I am quite used to it, and I don’t really mind.
What is the best thing about working as a salad bar attendant?
I feel that the work is right down my alley, and I love everything about it!
What are your future aspirations?
Eventually, I would like to start my own deli, with salads and sandwiches being the focus of my business.
