Home Attendant Qualifications

Working as a home attendant is not everyone’s ballgame. You have to have it in you to be able to look after people who are unwell, and unless you are compassionate and patient by nature, you will not be able to do it. Training as a home attendant will require you to gain insight into patient care, ensuring that patients’ health and well-being are given priority.

At this position, you will be asked to handle a wide variety of patient care tasks, including providing personal care, medicine administration, transfer activities, monitoring, and patient safety.
