One of the most important thing that you need to keep in mind when writing a cover letter is if you have all the information that promises to satisfy the reader – aka hiring manager.
This is only possible through research – if you know what a hiring manager is looking for, you have a good chance to satisfy him through your writing.
Do a little bit of digging. Find out who will be reading your cover letter, and go through the job description of the position for which you are applying to see what is required from you.
Cover letters may be difficult to write, but they provide you with a great chance to shine in front of a prospective employer. You have time to think when you are writing a cover letter, unlike when you are sitting across from him or her at an interview. Use this opportunity to your advantage.
