You may be asked to write a cover letter, with the hiring manager providing some instruction in the advertisement that you are responding to.
But it is difficult to figure out exactly what the hiring manager wants you to write in a cover letter. So it is best to use your judgment to make sure that what you write in a cover letter, is what the hiring manager is looking for – or at least, as close as possible.
Cover letter writing is not about how well you can write information about your experience.
It is all about your ability to highlight your skills, as they relate to the work that you will be performing. If you have anything that you feel needs to be emphasized more than another point, link it to an accomplishment that you have to your name. This way, you can make a more significant impact on the person reading it.
