Training personnel to ensure that distribution work is handled correctly has been part of my work, as has been monitoring stock levels, delivery times, and transport costs. Moreover, allocating and managing staff resources, liaising and negotiating with customers, developing business opportunities, overseeing warehouse operations, developing and implementing logistics processes, and inventorying goods have also been part of my work.

What skills do you possess which can convince us to hire you as a distribution manager?
Apart from the fact that I possess such substantial experience of working in distribution and storage, I am an excellent communicator, which makes it easy for me to liaise with people within the company, and externally. Excellent knowledge of developing and implementing logistics systems, and a great ability to handle shipping activities are also my core skills. Furthermore, I possess demonstrated expertise in developing cost reduction initiatives, while maintaining productivity, and quality control.

What do you find extremely difficult in this job?
To be perfectly honest, I do not find much that is difficult in the job. However, some challenges can make things a bit tricky, but since I thrive in a challenging environment, it doesn’t bother me.

If you were to pick one skill that you deem the best, which one would it be?
I am a great leader, which makes it easy for me to supervise, and oversee the work of many teams at the same time.

What is the one thing that you would change about your present place of work?
The shipping and logistics system that my present place of work is using can be made more profound and efficient. That is what I would change.

How do you feel about working in a role where you have to work extremely hard to meet a deadline?
Like I mentioned before, I thrive when presented with challenges. I love working towards tight and difficult deadlines, as I feel that this is where a person’s true mettle as a worker is tested.
