Macy’s Sales Associate Cover Letter Sample

Updated on: October 25, 2021

One of the most desperate things that one comes across when applying for a job at Macy’s is writing a cover letter.

Cover letters are notoriously difficult to write, as one never really knows what the hiring manager is looking for.

However, with a little bit of research, and a lot of effort, you can write one that the hiring manager will love to read.

Before you begin writing a Macy’s Sales Associate cover letter, make sure that you have the information at hand.

This includes the job description, posted by the employer, and your correlating abilities.

The match between the two is what will bring you several steps closer to getting to the interview stage.

If you can relate the two as closely as possible, you are a winner.

Writing a cover letter may sound difficult initially, but once you are sure which path you want to take to ace it, you are a winner.

A cover letter sample for a sales associate at Macy’s is provided below for your reference:

Mr. Devin Williams
Human Resource Manager
Macy’s
199 Federal Way
New York City, NY88734

Dear Mr. Williams:

Having recently moved to New York City from Buffalo, I was actively looking for a sales associate job, when I came across your advertisement for one at Macy’s. As luck would have it, I was working as a sales associate at the Fort Road branch of Macy’s in Buffalo, and I have all the exposure to do justice to this position. If you go through my resume (enclosed), you will be able to judge how much experience I have in this regard, and how well I have performed in the past.

Over six years of experience as a sales associate has prepared me exceptionally well to work in this capacity. Having said that, I am skilled in determining customers’ shopping requirements by engaging them in meaningful conversation and providing them with correlating assistance.

Because I am a service-oriented individual, I make sure that all customers leave the store with a favorable view of the company and its products, even if they do not make a purchase right then. The fact that I managed to retain over 55 customers by providing them with excellence in customer services says a lot about my abilities in this regard.

Next Monday, I will call you to find out if you have a time slot when we can meet in person, and discuss this opportunity further. In the meantime, you may contact me at (000) 845-3625 if needed.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Jeremy Nigel
