Dog Groomer Cover Letter Sample

Creating an image in the mind of an employer about what you are capable of doing, and what type of contribution you will be able to make to his or her organization is important. This is why cover letters exist.

There is no other way that you can communicate your accomplishments and qualifications to a hiring manager, unless you are satisfied by the one liners that you put into your resume.

A dog groomer cover letter is your main communication tool with a person whom you have never met, but who is responsible for deciding if you will be granted an interview. Make it a solid piece of information so that you can effectively reach out to the hiring manager or prospective employer.

Cover letters are usually not given much thought to by candidates who do not understand their importance. The fact that you are a great contender to work at an organization can be easily lost on a hiring manager who doesn’t know you from Adam. Make him “know” you through your cover letter.

Here is a sample cover letter for dog groomer resume to follow:

Mr. Jim Fisher
Hiring Manager
Free Play Dogs
88 High Street
Henderson, NC 19925

Dear Mr. Fisher:

Dog grooming is not just my work – it is the one thing that I look forward to at the beginning of each day. As someone with an inherent love for nature’s most magnificent creatures (in my opinion), you will find me a treat to work with owing to both my commitment to this work, and the fact that it comes naturally to me.

Anticipating working as a dog groomer at Free Play Dogs, I offer a large skill-set, dotted with accomplishments. Owing to my comprehension of canine characteristics and grooming techniques and styles, I have been the first choice to handle grooming sessions for pedigreed dogs in my current place of work. Combing, clipping, trimming and shaping dogs’ coats is all in a day’s work for me. Since I am great with animals in general, I can easily restrain dogs during grooming sessions, while focusing mainly on their safety and wellbeing.

I have often been called a dog whisperer due to an exceptional ability to reach out to even the most aggressive and reluctant dogs, and make them comfortable prior to their grooming sessions. In light of all this, I would like to meet with you so that I can place further emphasis on my suitability for this job.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to speaking with you soon.

Sincerely,

Samuel James
