• Set up and layout tasks by following specifications such as diagrams and fixture settings.
• Place welding machines and tools at the right places, and set them up for procedures including trimming, sizing, and forming.
• Draw review and compliance for final dimensions.
• Set up welding components in accordance with set specifications.
• Determine the right welding techniques for each welding process.
• Check the quality of materials before approving them for welding purposes.
• Maintain dimension, strength, and evenness of surfaces that need to be welded.
• Perform thorough inspections in order to determine issues with quality.
• Examine products visually to ensure that any obvious defects are taken care of immediately.
• Fix metal products that are defective, by following set instructions and processes.
• Assemble parts by using the right welding tools and equipment.
• Identify hazards and defects that can be fixed through adjustment and repair.
• Clean and maintain equipment and tools in order to maintain a clean working area.
• Perform video-scope inspection for root side welding defects.
• Use tools such as fillet weld gauges, calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
• Ensure that welding work remains in compliance with customers’ drawings and specifications.
