TIG welder’s interview can be complicated.

As an applicant for the job, you must make sure that you know the answers to questions that you will be asked.

 

First things first. You need to figure out what questions you may be asked. Preparing to answer them is step two.

As a TIG welder, you must be able to convince the interviewer that you are the best.

And it might be a good idea to ensure that whatever you say is in sync with what you have written in your resume and cover letter.

The more you stick with the information that you have already provided regarding your knowledge of welding processes, the better your chances of being able to answer interview questions correctly.

How do you feel about working in a TIG welder position, which is physically so taxing?

Physically taxing work is all in a day’s work for people working as TIG welders. I don’t mind it one bit. In fact, I love the challenges that come with this work.

Tell us a little about your skills.

I possess 6+ years of experience in a TIG welder position. My skills include knowledge of determining the right tools and procedures to perform welding work and ensuring that blueprint specification are followed properly. In addition, I am well-versed in inspecting metal goods in order to ensure that they are of high quality, and can be welded. Also, I am confident in ensuring that quality work is performed at all times.

What is the most difficult part of working as a TIG welder?

While the overall work is complex, I feel that it is following specifications perfectly that is most challenging.

How do you ensure that you follow blueprints exactly?

I am a thorough individual, who is not satisfied until the work is done properly. I make sure that I keep referring to instructions and blueprints while performing my work.

What is the one thing that you find most interesting about working as a TIG welder?

There isn’t just one thing that I find interesting about the work. I find the work fascinating on many levels.

What are your future plans?

Soon, I intend to work in a TIG supervisor position, with several teams working under my supervision.
