What was your motivation to work as an employment coach?
I have always been in awe of human resource work, and after working in the human resource capacity for 3 years, I found my niche in employment coaching, an area where I was most proficient in. There has never been any looking back since then.

As an employment coach, what have been your main work duties in a previous/present role?
During the time that I have worked as an employment coach, I have been actively handling a wide variety of duties, including developing and implementing effective employment coaching plans, communicating with clients to understand their goals and objectives, assisting them in discovering and overcoming their personal barriers, and setting goals, guiding clients in learning how to complete jobs, helping in motivating clients, providing coaching in effective job search techniques, and assisting people with disabilities in developing social and life skills, and eventually finding the right jobs.

What skills do you believe are essential while working as an employment coach?
I am of the opinion that it is imperative to be exceptionally intuitive when working as an employment coach. Of course, this is not the only thing that one has to be – it is important to be analytic so that one can gauge clients’ motivation levels, and goals, and it is also exceptionally important to be able to reach out to people from different walks of life, and be able to communicate with them effectively.

What has been your most difficult case so far?
I have come across many challenging cases till now, but none of them have been as challenging as the one in which I had to coach a recently disabled individual. Her work background was impeccable, but that became a limitation, as she kept comparing her present situation with the past.

How do you deal with deadlines?
My modus operandi to deal with deadlines is simple. I make sure that I organize things in a manner that deadlines are never a problem.

What would you say your weakness is, professionally speaking?
I am a perfectionist, who wants to make sure that everything that I undertake is done in a flawless manner. And this is not always possible. I am working on creating realistic goals for myself.

What is the one professional program that you want to do in the near future?
I am presently in the process of planning and executing a community outreach program, that promises to surpass all others carried out in my targeted area.
