Cover letter writing for a Career Coach position can be a lot of fun. The trick is to make sure that you understand what needs to go into one. Once you have this information, writing one will not only be fun, but the process will take very little time.

There is only one thing that you need to know which will make your cover letter a good read. Focus on the employer.

Most applicants tend to write about themselves in cover letters, not realizing that they cannot focus on themselves only. It is true that you have to make a positive first impression on a hiring manager, so one automatically does indulge in self-praise, but when you do this without making the hiring manager part of the equation, you are doing no one any favors.

By all means, write what you want to about yourself in a cover letter but make sure that you sync it with the prospective employer’s demands.
