Many of us tend to write cover letters believing that they will be read by hiring managers, no matter what. The truth of the matter is that not all cover letters are read. Only the ones that are outstanding are given due consideration.
Effective cover letter writing is not everyone’s ball game, although anyone who wants to apply for a Clerk Receptionist job has to write one.
The problem is usually the content.
What does one write to make sure that a cover letter is accepted and read?
A Clerk Receptionist cover letter should be written specifically to make sure that a hiring manager is made aware of an individual’s skills and qualifications.
If it does not serve this purpose, there is no point in writing one. If you have ventured in this way, make sure that what you write rings true, and is relevant to the job for which you are applying.

Dear Mr. Fraser:
I am interested in the Clerk Receptionist position that you have advertised in the Daily News, a job that I am not only well-acquainted with but also possess exceptional skills in, including many diverse areas associated with clerking and reception work. I am confident that after reviewing my resume, you will agree that I am the best contender there is for this position in your organization.
I am a pleasant and active individual, which automatically makes me a favorite of patients, visitors, and families, as they can associate with me on different levels. What makes me an excellent person to work as a clerk-receptionist apart from this is my ability to handle front desk operations with much dedication, ensuring that the facility I am representing is done so in a positive manner.
In my previous jobs, I demonstrated the ability to receive and relay telephone calls and fax messages, direct guests to the appropriate department, maintain a filing system and manage correspondence. My experience has provided me with deep expertise in organizing calendars, scheduling appointments, arranging meetings, and giving word-processing and bookkeeping support.
In the coming week, I will contact you to see if a mutually agreeable interview time and date can be arranged, to provide you with an opportunity to get to know me better. I can be contacted at (000) 524-7454 if any further information is required to put my case forward.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Denver Hall
