If you do not let a hiring manager know how skilled and qualified you are for amusement park ride operator job, there is little chance that you will be selected for an interview.

Using your cover letter sensibly can make you climb mountains that you never thought were conquer-able. Cover letters have the unique quality to reach hiring managers on deep levels that even resumes cannot.

The problem is that many of us write cover letters while under a lot of pressure. This makes it difficult for us to bring out what we want to say. You don’t have to write a cover letter feeling this way. In fact, a cover letter should be written with complete peace of mind and absolute concentration. Only then will you be able to come up with a sizeable piece of writing that will “speak” to the hiring manager.

Here is a cover letter sample for the position of an amusement park ride operator to help you write your own:

Mr. Lester Edward
Hiring Manager
Idlewild Park
858 Greenway Avenue
El Mirage, AZ 80002

Dear Mr. Edward:

The Carnival – one of the biggest amusement parks in Arizona – has utilized my services as a ride operator for over 12 years. Hoping to bring the same expertise and responsible work attitude to Idlewild Park, I offer my resume for review and consideration.

The last 8 years (particularly) of my professional life have seen me operate and maintain a plethora of amusement park rides ranging from simple to extremely complex. This experience has taught me how to handle not just operations of park rides but also how to determine repair needs and decipher causes for concern. As my record goes, there hasn’t been a single untoward incident on the rides assigned to me during the years that I have worked as a ride operator!

For me, safety of patrons is foremost. To ensure that all rides assigned to me are safe in every manner and conform to the safety and operational protocols of the facility, I make sure that daily inspections are carried out in a thorough manner. In addition to this, I make it a point to ensure that patrons are provided with safety instructions for each ride that they embark on, and that all safety appliances (such as belts and harnesses) are in check before a ride is operated.

Bringing forward this expertise, I would like to meet with you in person to provide a more profound overview of my skills and abilities as an amusement park ride operator. Until we meet, you may contact me at (777) 777-7777 if any additional information is required.

Sincerely,

(Signature)
