Position Overview
The work of a bicycle mechanic is pretty self-explanatory.
However, it is not an easy job to do. While initially this was a predominantly male-oriented position, it has now become popular for both genders, allowing women to show their skills in handling repair work as well.

Position Requirements
As a bicycle mechanic, you will be expected to possess a high school diploma or a GED equivalent at the very least. Some experience in this regard, even if it is in an apprenticeship capacity, will be appreciated by prospective employers.
If you are a bicycle mechanic hopeful, you will need to possess exceptional skills in assembling new bikes, identifying damages and faults, carrying out repairs, and fitting accessories. While working as a bicycle mechanic, it will be your job to make sure that routine maintenance and service checks are performed on assigned bicycles, and that any issues are communicated to the customers in an immediate fashion.
