How long did it take you to reach the position of a landscaping foreman?
My journey to this position was long and arduous. I worked as a landscape worker for seven years before I knew all there was to know about the work, and only then was I able to prove myself to be eligible for a foreman position.

Tell us some of the main duties that you have performed in the role of a landscape foreman?
As a landscape foreman, I have been responsible for scheduling workers to ensure that they work according to set procedures and instructions. My duties involved training crew members to ensure that they work correctly, handling oversight activities, ensuring timely delivery of equipment and supplies, and handling issues that may arise along the way.

What is the one skill that you depend on when working in this position?
To work successfully as a landscape foreman, one has to possess exceptional leadership skills. And this is the primary skill that I depend on to ensure that all falls into place at the worksite.

How challenging do you find this work?
I probably couldn’t scale the work as far as challenges are concerned. Some days are without any obstacles at all, while there are weeks on end when I have to deal with so many of them.

What is the one strength that you have which makes you an excellent person to hire as a landscape foreman?
Apart from being a great leader, I am exceptionally adept at handling more than one landscaping project at the same time. And this does not only involve managing many projects but managing them in ways that quality assurance is made a priority.

How do you handle the rigors of inclement weather while working at this position?
When I decided that this is the work that I wanted to do, I took it in stride that I will be working most of the day outdoors. I am entirely comfortable with it.
