In addition to this, my work in this capacity involves creating and implementing core strategies to ensure that all clients meet their particular health care goals and that they are made aware of the many services and resources available to them.
4. What type of skills does one need to effectively work as a community health educator?
The first and foremost skill that one needs to successfully work as a community health educator is the ability to communicate with people from different walks of life effectively. You have to be able to develop and implement a wide variety of educational programs and ensure their efficacy through constant monitoring and modification. Moreover, you have to possess deep insight into all the available healthcare resources and agencies providing these resources, so that you can effectively communicate this information to clients.
5. What is the most challenging part of working as a community health educator?
Working in community education is challenging on the whole. However, it is most difficult when there aren’t many resources available for assigned clients, and they are constantly depending on you to provide them with what they need.
6. What are your 5-year career plans?
Within the next five years, I intend to have gained sufficient experience and exposure to be able to direct back to back community health education programs, in a director capacity
