Office Driver Interview Questions and Answers
Where does your interest in working as an office driver stem from?
To be perfectly honest, I stumbled into this work by accident. One summer job led to my developing interest in scanning the roads of the city, and I never looked back.
What duties have you performed in the role of an office driver?
As an office driver, I have been actively performing a wide array of duties, including performing inspections on assigned vehicles, handling minor repair and maintenance work on them, assisting passengers to embark and disembark on and from vehicles, navigating roads to reach destinations on time, transporting goods and messages from one place to another, and handling vehicle detailing activities as well.
What type of skills do you believe an individual needs in order to work as an office driver?
Apart from the very obvious skill which indicates that you know how to drive a wide variety of office vehicles, including cars, vans, transits, and trucks, one has to possess the ability to navigate ways, handle loading and unloading of goods, and help staff members/passengers embark and disembark. In addition to this, it is imperative to be knowledgeable about performing maintenance and repair work on vehicles. Good written and verbal communication skills are also required in this position.
As far as navigation is concerned, what are your particular skills?
I am a pro at using both standard maps, and the GPS to navigate my way to destinations.
How do you feel about driving long distances?
I do not mind driving long distances at all. In fact, I enjoy long drives, as I get to connect with nature and to see different cities and country-sides.
Tell us of a time when an incident happened, which you managed to control with your ingenuity.
I was once delivering an extremely confidential package to an office in another town when I realized that I was being followed. After making sure that I was indeed being followed by a man on a bike, I used my navigation and driving skills to duck into small streets (I was driving a small car), and lose my stalker. It was quite a harrowing experience, but my presence of mind saved the day!
