Camp Counselor Cover Letter Sample

Updated June 17, 2016

Cover letter requirements keep changing, thanks to the constantly increasing competition. Once, it was alright to write a 5 sentence cover letter, providing a synopsis of what you are capable of. The rest was left to the accompanying resume. Now, this doesn’t work. While the resume is still depended on, the cover letter has to do most of the work.

A cover letter can “reach” an employer where a resume cannot. Hence, the resume remains more or less the same, while the cover letter keeps changing form. So, what is “in” nowadays? The cover letter of 2016 is bold and beautiful! The candidate needs to be exceptionally articulate in what he wants to say. A little showing off won’t hurt. Neither will exaggerated information – a little bragging is okay! However, you mustn’t make a big deal out of your abilities. While the employer does want to know what you are capable of, he doesn’t want to read a cover letter that shows greed. So whatever you do write in the cover letter, make sure it suits the employer, more than it suits you as a candidate.

The following sample is a classic example of a compelling cover letter for camp counselor resume.
