Pizza Cook Cover Letter Sample

Updated on: February 2, 2018

When you write a cover letter to apply for a Pizza Cook job, it is best to keep in mind what the hiring manager wants – and not only what you want.

While your wants are important, they aren’t as important as those of the person who may be your next boss.

Since a cover letter is essentially a marketing tool, you have to make sure that you get your point across. Your cover letter should be able to answer why you are the best person to hire at a certain position.

Unfortunately, many Pizza Cook cover letters say just the opposite of what they are supposed to. Most cover letters that hiring managers come across talk about how an applicant wants to “excel” and “thrive” in a company. Fine, you are in it for the benefit, but there is no need to market this aspect. Instead, concentrate on how much you will contribute to an organization.

The following pizza cook cover letter sample has been written along these lines:

Mr. Pier Garcia
Human Resource Manager
Baltimore Pizza Kitchen

Dear Mr. Garcia:

I have worked as a pizza cook at Peppe’s Pizza for over 6 years, and it was in actuality me who was responsible for bringing the all-popular thin crust pizza to the concern. Since I am a professional when it comes to creating tasty and palatable pizzas and pastas, I am usually the choice for big orders. As a pizza cook at Baltimore Pizza Kitchen, I will be an instant hit – which I can assure you of!

On the face of it, it may seem as if pizza-making is an uncomplicated job. In actuality, creating the right thickness, and the mix of cheeses is one of the most artistically difficult job ever. But I have perfected this over the years, as is obvious from the many commendations that I have received for my pizza creations.

But it is not only my pizza-making skills that have earned me the reputation of a “perfect pizza cook”. My kitchen management skills are excellent, and I have an inherent knack for choosing and storing high quality ingredients. Moreover, I am exceptionally talented when it comes to minimizing food spoilage, through timely and well-placed rotation of food items.

I am sure that a personal meeting between us will be highly fruitful for both ends. I will contact your office after 3 days to set up a date and time. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

(Signature)
