What made you decide that you wanted to work as a production assembler?
To be perfectly candid, it was not my intention to take this up as a career initially. But an apprentice stint made me realize how amazing and challenging this work was, allowing me to delve more profound, and train further.

How long have you been working as a production assembler? And what have been your duties in this regard?
Including the 1 year apprenticeship, I have been working as a production assembler for 6 years. While working at this position, I have been responsible for reading and comprehending instructions, schematics, and drawings, collecting and checking required materials, taking and recording precision measurements, aligning materials and putting parts together, assembling components by ensuring that the right connections are taken into account, and resolving problems associated with production lines.

What skills does one need to work as a production assembler?
There are many skills that one requires to work as a production assembler. These include knowledge of controls and instrumentation, ability to ensure quality production work, expertise in using and maintaining tools and equipment of the trade, focus on safety management, and exceptional decision-making skills.

What is your modus operandi when it comes to quality management?
I never compromise on quality. Where quality assurance is concerned, I do all in my power to ensure it. I prioritize my efforts to ensure that the end product is in sync with quality metrics.

Can you recount a time when you came out on top of the game due to your diligence and expertise?
Yes. There was a time when none of the production assemblers were able to detect a problem with a subassembly. This issues remained in limbo for three weeks, before I was asked to step in. I managed to resolve it within half an hour.

How do you feel about working in a position that requires much concerning physical effort?
Before I stepped into the world of production assembly, I was aware of the physical effort that will be required to do justice to it, and I was prepared. I have no problem in working in a physically demanding work environment.
