Not all tricks work when you sit down to write a cover letter to apply for a Flying Instructor job. In fact, it is best not to use trick.

Instead, resort to making sure that your cover letter is written in a professional manner. By professional, we mean that a cover letter should do what it has set out to do. Impacting a recruiter so that he or she actively looks through the accompanying resume is imperative.

Making sure that all ground is covered, and that your cover letter actually does say what it is supposed to, is imperative.

The amount of time and effort that you put into writing the perfect cover letter will be obvious from the end result. And since most recruiters make hiring decisions based on what you write in your cover letter, it is best not to take any chances.

What follows is a cover letter sample to help you write your own:

Mr. Paul Marcus
Human Resource Manager
CAE Inc.
970 Grove Avenue
Norman Park, GA 40210

Dear Mr. Marcus:

Putting 10 years of experience (and correlating expertise) on the table, I offer my services as a flying instructor at CAE Inc. With my comprehension of providing flight training to independent and contract students, I am sure that you will be interested in what my resume has to say about my exposure in this regard.

Creating and implementing syllabus for ground-school classes to teach students the basics of flying aircraft, and to assist them in preparing for written aviation tests, are areas that my strengths are most profound in. But they do not end here – as a competent and qualified flying instructor, I offer exceptional skills in assisting students in using simulators and dual-controlled aircraft to check their specific talents and comprehension of flying principles.

Focusing on ensuring that all assigned students are trained according to the organization’s protocols (and flying conventions), is something that I concentrate on highly. Furthermore, I am adept in conducting training flights, determining students’ proficiencies, reporting on students’ progress, and developing new teaching methods to ensure delivery of consistently high-quality teaching services.

Perhaps a good next step will be to hear from you what your requirements for a flying instructor are at CAE Inc. To make this possible, I will call your office soon to set up a meeting time. Until then, please feel free to contact me at (000) 435-1212.

Sincerely,

(Signature)
