1. What makes it worth your while to work as a bus conductor?

I love traveling, which is why working as a bus conductor is a dream job. However, this is not it. I have a great knack for working with people from different walks of life, which is even more of a reason for me to work in this capacity.

2. Tell us briefly about the duties that you have performed in a bus conductor role.

I have been working as a bus conductor for 3 years, and have held many responsibilities during this time. To name a few important ones, I have assisted passengers to embark on buses, and safely offboard as well.

Also, I have been busy issuing tickets and collecting fares. In addition, my duties included providing passengers with information on routes and timetables.

3. What is the one skill that you deem absolutely necessary for this work?

I believe one has to possess great people skills to be able to work as a bus conductor. Since one is in constant contact with people, it is imperative to be pleasant and communicative.

4. How do you feel about the hazards associated with this work?

I feel that hazards are part of any job. It does not matter where you work – if something bad has to happen, it will.

5. Have you ever worked in a supervisory capacity?

I have trained 20 bus conductors as part of their induction period, and have briefly supervised their work as well.

6. What do you intend to do in the future?

I would eventually like to work as a bus driver. But right now, I am concentrating on my present work.
