1. Tell me a little bit about yourself.

I am a trained hemodialysis technician, with over 7 years of experience in the field. It was my passion to work in hemodialysis, which is why I obtained training in it, and have successfully performed many processes over the years.

2. What duties have you performed while working as a hemodialysis technician?

As a hemodialysis technician, I have performed many duties including assembling and calibrating dialysis machines, and effectively operating them to perform dialysis. In particular, my job duties include monitoring patients undergoing treatment, administering local anesthesia, and adjusting patient fluid removal rates. Also, I have been busy sterilizing operating equipment and handling emergency situations.

3. What skills do you possess which make you an excellent person to hire as a hemodialysis technician?

I possess a wide range of skills including suitable clinical experience in hemodialysis, and dedication to patient care. I am well-versed in mixing dialysate according to formula, and can perfectly explain dialysis procedures and machine operations. I am also exceptionally well-versed in using hemodialysis machines to ensure consistent treatment provision.

4. What do you like most about this work?

I love the fact that no two days are similar. This gives me a good feeling as I get to learn a lot.

5. What do you dislike about this work?

I do not dislike anything about it. However, I do find it emotionally draining to see patients in so much pain at times.

6. How do you handle adversity from patients?

The way I see it, patients become adverse because they are in discomfort or pain. So, I take adversity with a pinch of salt as I understand where they are coming from.

7. What is the most challenging part of working as a hemodialysis technician?

I believe that the most challenging part of working as a hemodialysis technician is ensuring that treatment is provided with minimal discomfort.

8. Tell us of a time when you achieved something great?

One instance that I am proud of is when I saved the life of a patient receiving dialysis treatment. He went into cardiac arrest during the procedure and I managed to revive him just in time. It was a huge relief on my part.

I am aware of the wonderful work that you have been doing in all aspects and would like to contribute to such an organization, which is why I am interested in working with your facility in particular.

10. Why do you want to leave your current job?

I work for a wonderful facility. However, I do not see much room for growth here, which is why I feel that I need to move on to a place where I do not remain stagnated.

A perfect work environment is where I can easily perform my work, without interruptions.

I have worked in environments that have been almost perfect.

If I were to rate myself on a scale of 1 to 10, I would give myself an 8.

My biggest strength is my ability to gel into any environment and work well in it.

I am a thorough individual, but sometimes, I feel that I am too thorough which takes away from time management.

I am trying to be a little more realistic in setting my goals. And I am sure I will be able to overcome this issue soon enough.

I am of the opinion that there is no part more important than the other – all the work involved in hemodialysis is equally vital to the success of the process.

18. What motivates you?

It doesn’t take much to motivate me to be honest. I am motivated by my sheer will to help others.

19. What makes you unique?

I feel that I am unique in many ways as I take this work as my own, and not merely something that I have to do to make a living. I am also extremely focused on my patients.

20. When have you been most satisfied with your job?

For me, job satisfaction has never been an issue. Since I put all my might into my work, I am always satisfied with what I do.

21. How would your colleagues describe you?

I am sure that my colleagues will tell you that I am a hardworking individual and someone with whom everyone can get along well.

22. Can you tell us of a difficult situation that you overcame?

I was once working on a patient when the dialysis machine shut down. It was a crucial moment for the patient. However, I managed to quickly plug in a backup device, ensuring that the patient didn’t suffer.

23. How do you handle stress?

I am an inherently calm individual, so stress is almost never a problem with me. When I feel a little bit of work pressure, I go out for a walk and that calms my nerves.

24. What does patient services mean to you?

Good patient service is my main concern.

25. How do you define success?

For me, success is defined by how well the facility that I am working for is faring.

26. In your opinion, what makes a great leader?

I feel that a great leader is one who leads by example.

27. Do you consider yourself a good leader?

I haven’t yet worked in a leadership role, but I am sure that when I do, I will be a good leader.
