Courtesy is the showing of politeness in one’s attitude and behavior towards others.
It is a polite remark or a respectful act and is all about using your good manners and attitude.
The purpose of a courtesy letter is to thank someone for taking out time to see you for whatever reason there is.
Several types of courtesy letters can be used in different situations.
Let us look at a courtesy letter sample here that portrays an individual’s appreciation after a business meeting.

Dear Ms. Ryan:
This letter is with reference to our meeting about the Dolphin Project last Friday. I am writing to thank you for your time in considering my proposal for saving the dolphins. It was very insightful meeting you in person and discussing a project that is close to both of us.
The Dolphin Project as we have discussed has been a dilemma for my company owing to the lack of funds and workforce. I am convinced that our liaison will assist in a meaningful project campaign that is sure to take this mission forward. I have collected the demographic information that will prove to be the first step in doing this project to fruition. With the funding that you have promised and the sanction to bring people on board, I am confident that we have a long way to go.
As promised, I am emailing you the information that you need to process the check. I am very excited about the prospect of working closely with you. Please let me know when you receive my email, and we will take it from there. Once again, a very warm thank you from my team and me at WWF USA!
Sincerely,
