You have just received your real estate license and now you are raring to start working under a licensed broker! Sounds like you have everything planned! Brilliant! But wait! How will you actually begin the work? You will need to first look for a broker with whom you want to work, create your resume so that you can apply and eventually, work on your cover letter! The first two are obvious steps. The third step is not so much.
People often forget that a resume does not suffice where job applications are concerned. Cover letters are also important. Receiving just a resume may leave your job application in a limbo. But when you send a cover letter as well, you are basically talking to the employer on a one-on-one basis – well, as much as is possible!
The cover letter is actually what helps you get into the groove with an employer. Without the benefit of one, you are not doing your job application any favors. Since the cover letter is what will probably be read in more detail than the resume, this is where you have to be eloquent in what you want to say. The resume too needs attention but the cover letter needs a little extra.
Talking of real estate agents, here is a cover letter sample for a new real estate agent, who has just acquired her license:

Dear Mr. Simmons:
Having acquired my real estate agent licensure recently, I am now raring to provide your firm with the best of my comprehension of the real estate world.
Here is a crux of my qualifications:
• Well-versed in determining clients’ buying and selling needs and proposing correlating solutions to them.
• Unmatched talent in providing guidance in buying and selling property for right prices and under right terms.
• Deep insight into performing comparative market analysis with a view to estimate property values.
My enthusiasm is infectious, as my peers have declared several times. I would love to meet with you in person and elaborate on my skills and achievements in this regard, for which I will call your office right after the New Year to secure an interview.
