Unarmed Security Guard Cover Letter Sample

Updated on: March 6, 2018

Going through cover letters, recruiters often think of one thing – is this person right for the job?

It is the question that you, as a candidate, have to answer in your cover letter for an unarmed security guard position. And the answer is never a simple yes.

You have to tell the recruiter why you think you’re a great option to hire, and what you bring to the company in terms of qualifications and abilities.

The good thing about writing cover letters is that they can almost always be modeled according to a well-written sample. However, determining which example really is well-written is a task.

A good cover letter sample is one that says just the right things and is not unnecessarily long.

Relevance and length need to be kept in mind when writing a cover letter. Your cover letter should be able to say a lot by covering little space.

Here is a cover letter sample for an unarmed security guard position for you to take ideas from.

Ms. Delilah Walters
Human Resource Manager
New England Security
230 Tenda Street NE
Mobile, AL31250

Dear Ms. Walters:

As an experienced and highly skilled security guard (in an unarmed capacity), I deem myself an excellent fit for the job that you have advertised at New England Security. Positive that once you have gone through my credentials, you too will deem me an excellent person to hire at this position, I offer the enclosed resume for your consideration.

Securing both personnel and property by performing a vast array of duties, including patrolling assigned areas, and monitoring surveillance equipment is my niche. In my present place of employment, I am considered as the person in whose hands the organization is “absolutely safe.”

Since I am a meticulous individual by nature, I make sure that all security details are properly handled, and that no loopholes are evident. Preventing losses and damages by reporting irregularities, and informing violators of policy breaches is all in a day’s work for me. Responsible for thwarting an attack on the building (by an organized gang who had earlier got into an argument with an employee), I was commended highly for my bravery and ability to take action in the face of adversity quickly.

There is a lot more where this came from. If you’re free next week, I would like to meet with you in person to elaborate. I will contact your office soon to set up a mutually convenient time for an interview.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

(Signature)
