One of the main reasons that anyone would like your cover letter is because of the information that you have provided in it. It is important to remember that your cover letter will not make a mark every time. Every employer is different and wants to read something different as well. How does one satisfy everyone?
The only way that you can do this is by writing a cover letter to meet the individual needs of each employer. Yes, there is a lot of effort involved here, and one has to be on one’s toes to make sure that the right amount of information is provided to the hiring manager, and that the info that is provided is not sketchy. Flowery language is never welcome. Remember that hiring managers have a lot of cover letters that they need to go through, and your aim should be to make them stop at yours!
