How do you like working in a civil engineering capacity?
Building and construction are areas that have intrigued me since I was a child, and it is no wonder that I strived to obtain a degree in civil engineering. I enjoy my work immensely and have never regretted my decision to train in civil engineering.

In the role of a civil engineer, what have been your duties?
I have worked as a civil engineer for over 9 years now, and have been actively managing, designing, and developing engineering plans for roads, dams, structures, and many other projects. Conducting onsite investigations, and analyzing data such as maps, reports, tests, and drawing is all in a day’s work for me. Furthermore, I have been carrying out technical and feasibility studies and drawing up blueprints that satisfy technical specifications. In addition to this, I have been overseeing the work of construction personnel, monitoring progress and compiling reports, managing budgets, and purchase requirements, and ensuring that regulations and guidelines are complied with.

What skills do you possess in the role of a civil engineer?
I am great at what I do. I possess in-depth knowledge of design and visualization software such as AutoCAD, and 3D, and I am proficient in site layout work, grading, utility design, and regulatory approvals. What has been your most challenging project till now?
I have had the opportunity to manage many challenging projects, one of which was entirely a difficult one to handle. The project was an underpass which had to go through the sea. What are your future plans?
At the moment, I am working on creating a plan for a huge children’s park. This is a self-initiated project, and I hope to present it to an organization that wants to obtain benefit from the project while providing children with a safe and exciting place to play in.
