It is a pity that not all Train Crew cover letters impress, even though most of them have been worked on quite diligently.
What goes wrong?
It is usually a job seeker’s inability to understand what a hiring manager wants that is the problem here.
So what does one do to counter this issue?
One investigates what a hiring authority is looking for in a prospective employee, before venturing on the cover letter writing adventure.
Once you have done your research, it will be easy to determine what you need to write. Making sure that your cover letter sings praises for you is important, but what is more important is that it tells a hiring manager what you can do for him particularly. If your cover letter is able to elicit skills and qualifications information, it will be considered a great read.
Here is a cover letter sample to give you ideas:
Train Crew Cover Letter Example
October 22, 2017
Mr. Ronald Lee
Human Resource Manager
Trans-Global Solutions
3102 Jack London Avenue
Saint Charles, IL 40210
Dear Mr. Lee:
Amazed at the perfect match between what I have to offer as a train crew member, and what you require in one, I would like to offer my services to Trans-Global Solutions. As I was going through the advert that you have placed in the newspaper, I could not help but visualize how I would contribute to it, once hired at this position.
I am an experienced train crew member, with great exposure to performing pre-trip investigations, including inspecting couplings, air hoses, journal boxes, and handbrakes, to make sure that trains are safe to run. Possessing exceptional comprehension of adjusting controls to regulate air conditioning, heating and lighting on trains to make sure that passengers are kept comfortable throughout their journeys, and ensuring that passengers are assisted in embarking and disembarking from the train are my strong points.
But this is not it – I have other talents that I am sure you will be interested in discovering, including a great ability to perform conductor work, handle car rerouting, and setting flares, flags, lanterns and torpedoes as part of handling emergency work.
Anticipating providing you with a much wider and more profound view of what my capabilities as a train crew member are, I would like to meet with you in person. I will call you soon to set up an interview date which is convenient for you.
Thank you for your time and consideration. My resume and job application documents are attached for your review.
Sincerely,
Thomas Brown
