CVS Cashier Cover Letter Tips

It is alright to show off a little in a CVS Cashier cover letter. But the emphasis is on the word little. When you show off too much, you are giving the impression that you are self-involved, and do not care about what the hiring manager wants. It is important to relate what your worth is to the requirements of a hiring manager. If you can successfully do this, you have won half the battle.

The good thing about cover letters is that they do not put a damper on your individuality – unless you decide to copy verbatim from another source or sample. Writing a cover letter by yourself tells the hiring manager what type of individual you are, and helps your case along. But that does not mean that you cannot take ideas from other sources – in fact, we suggest that you read the following cover letter sample to gain ideas:

Mr. Danial Fuller
Human Resources Manager
223 Root Road
Lake Charles, LA27902

Dear Mr. Fuller:

My recent move from New Orleans to Lake Charles forced me to look at positions similar to the one that I was holding at CVS. As luck would have it, I came across your advertisement for a cashier position at CVS, a role that I am well-versed in. If you look through my resume, you will see what I mean when I say that I am perfect for the job.

As a cashier at CVS, I was responsible for a lot more than simply taking money in exchange for products sold. I am aware of the way that the company operates, and can work according to the protocols and procedures that it has established. Processing card and cash payments are all in a day’s work for me, and I have been quite successful in ensuring that cash drawers assigned to me never pose any discrepancies. On many occasions, I have been called upon to assist in balancing other cashiers’ drawers owing to an exceptional ability to analyze differences brought on by missing entries, and other reasons. My customer services skills are excellent which is why I have often been asked to fill in for retail representatives, during high customer volume days.

In view of the qualifications mentioned above, I would like to offer my services as a cashier at CVS. I will contact you next week to provide you with a more profound view of my abilities in this regard. If you need to reach me in the meantime, please feel free to call me.

Thank you for your time and consideration, and I look forward to hearing from you.
