Food and Beverage Associate Cover Letter Sample

Updated on: October 20, 2021

It is somewhat tricky to pick up the right words and content for a cover letter and then use them appropriately.

The fact that hiring managers keep changing the way in which they accept cover letters has something to do with this constant struggle.

You have to keep up to date, even if you feel that it is the hardest thing to do.

Writing a cover letter is not difficuly if you are on the same page as the person who is going to read it.

Determining what page he or she is on maybe a bit difficult though.

Your aim should be to come as close as possible to what he or she wants to read. How would you know?

Knowing your employer is essential.

Find out what the company is looking for in an individual by going through the specific job description that the employer has provided.

Mr. Randy Logan
Human Resource Manager
Wyndham Hotel Group
52 Green City Avenue
Rutland City, VT 52100

Dear Mr. Logan:

My experience as a food and beverage associate spans 3 years, which is an amalgamation of fine dining, and fast food service. Being a professional in both these areas, I offer my services to Wyndham Hotel Group for a placement that you deem perfect for me, in one of your restaurants. Please refer to the attached resume for further details on my experience, and suitability for the job.

As a customer service-oriented individual – one who knows the complete ins and outs of food and beverage services – I am confident that I will be immediately contributory to your restaurant. Here is why I believe this. My comprehension of handling food preparation tasks, in accordance with the specifics provided by kitchen managers, and in sync with customers’ specific tastes, is profound.

Correctly taking orders, and ensuring that relayed orders are appropriately followed up is a great strength of mine. But customer liaison is not the only area where my expertise is most profound. I am also exceptionally talented in handling backend work, such as monitoring food and beverage inventory, and ensuring that food items are adequately stocked, and rotated as required. Also, I am a stickler for perfection when it comes to food hygiene, and sanitation, which I believe is extremely important in this work.

I will email you next Monday to see if you have an available timeslot to meet with me.

Thank you very much for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Alan Peace
