Information Clerk Cover Letter Sample

Updated on: November 3, 2019

Cover letters are oh so old fashioned is an old fashioned statement in itself.

If there is something that is more in fashion than anything else, it is a cover letter. Why do we say that?

To put it simply, let us take an example. A book is often judged by its cover, they say – consider your resume the book and your cover letter, the cover.

While the cover letter is no guarantee that the resume will be as impressive, the trick works long enough for the reader to get to the stage where he ends up reviewing your resume.

It is true that cover letters have a personality – personality that:

• Shows savvy without boasting
• Warms up your audience
• Keeps a measure of control
• Indicates that your work is good
• Confirms that you have critical thinking skills

See how much a cover letter can do for you?

But we often come across a complete writer’s block when we sit down to write our cover letter. In such a case, think first – and then write your thoughts on a rough piece of paper.

Mark your ideas and think of what phrases describe you the best. Do this until your thinking ink warms up. Hit the keyboard!

Below is a sample of a cover letter written for the position of an information clerk. Have a look!

Dear Ms. Wedd:
