Short and Sweet Thank You Letter After Interview | Sample

Updated on: April 30, 2022

It always pays to be polite. And it pays, even more, to be polite to a prospective employer.

Once you have been through the interview process, it is a good idea to write a short and sweet thank you letter.

This way, you will be able to connect with the prospective employer once more.

But the connection is just one of the reasons that you should write a thank you letter after an interview.

It is considered polite but it is also a great way of keeping in view a hiring manager who has to interview dozens of people.

In a thank you letter, you can say a lot more than just thank you. You can mention the fact that you managed to learn about the company and the type of work that it does.

Appreciating the company’s contribution is a great way of winning brownie points.

Also, you can highlight how much you want to work there, as you have acquired more information about the organization, and are intrigued.

Mr. Jessie Cole
Human Resources Manager
Exact Point
5 Franklin Road
San Jose, CA25823

Dear Mr. Cole:

Thank you for the time that you took out to interview me for a Marketing Manager position at Exact Point. Meeting with you was one of the most insightful experiences that I have had in my professional life, and I am truly grateful for the opportunity.

While talking to you about the company, and the role of marketing in helping it progress, I learned that you were quite serious about taking it to great heights. Sharing the same vision, I am sure that a liaison between us will be greatly fruitful.

Specifically, I am interested in Project 4Ps that you mentioned during the interview. As someone who is quite well-versed in marketing and sales, I am sure that I will be able to provide you with great assistance in leading this forward.

Once again, I am extremely appreciative of the time and consideration that you extended to me. I hope to hear from you soon and wait in excitement for the time when we can work together.

Sincerely,

John Tanner
