What skills do you possess which make you an excellent person to hire as an environmental services technician?

I have worked as an environmental services technician for over 5 years. During this time, I have polished my skills in many areas such as cleaning and sanitizing, floor buffing, furniture polishing, and linen management.

In addition, I am well-versed in handling trash management and disposing of activities. Moreover, I am adept at cleaning non-patient areas, such as nurses’ stations, and offices.

As an environmental services technician, what duties have you performed?

While working as an environmental services technician, I have performed many duties like cleaning floors and polishing them. Also, my responsibilities include dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures.

Also, I have been busy performing sanitization procedures in operating rooms, and patient areas. Furthermore, my duties include safe trash collection and disposal.

What do you find most difficult about working in this position?

To be perfectly honest, I do not find the work difficult at all. While it can be challenging due to the physical work involved, I love my job and look forward to these challenges.

What is the one thing that you would change about your present workplace, as far as your work is concerned?

Even though my present place of work is exceptionally run, I wouldn’t mind adding to the biological waste management system, as I believe that it can use a little more attention.

Can you recount a time when you shone in this role?

I have many achievements to my name. However, the one that I would like to highlight particularly is when I introduced a solid waste management system, as a result of which, contamination issues were reduced.

What are your 5-year plans?

Eventually, I want to work in a supervisory role, where I can train and oversee the work of an environmental services team.
