AT&T Technician Cover Letter Example

Updated on: April 8, 2018

It is quite possible that your cover letter is considered to be the best. But you have to make sure that you construct it in a manner that the hiring manager wants you to.

Typically, cover letters provide information of candidate’s specific skills, as they relate to the job that they are applying for. Sometimes, cover letters are steered the wrong way – some applicants insist on putting in job experience, which is not such a good idea.

A cover letter needs to be focused on an individual’s specific skills and abilities. If you are a technician, for instance, you need to be able to highlight how well you know technical work, and how much you have achieved in it. Any other information will be considered useless.

Making sure that your cover letter is accepted by hiring managers is important, but it cannot be done if you don’t work with the dynamics of it.

Here is a sample cover letter to help you get your own in order:

Mr. Bruce Wayne
Human Resource Manager
AT&T
1993 Young Road
Cuyahoga Falls, OH 10023

Dear Mr. Wayne:

My recent move from Dayton to Cuyahoga Falls initially left me in a quandary where my career was concerned. But having been through your advertisement for a technician at AT&T, made me realize that this post was probably written just for me. If you go through my resume, you will be able to comprehend why I have made this claim.

With over 7 years of working as an AT&T technician, I believe that I am all that you need to get the ball rolling in your office. Installing telecommunications and satellite systems, and troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, replacing, and upgrading components, is all in a day’s work for me, and I am not ashamed to boast that I am the best at it.

Owing to the fact that I am an excellent technician, who know just how to maintain accurate installations, and manage service provision, I will soon be a favorite of your most important and high profile clients. And it is not only fieldwork that I excel in – I am exceptionally skilled in creating and maintaining records of clients’, and the work performed on their premises, for reference purposes.

I am sure that you will be interested in meeting with me to further gauge my abilities and skills in an AT&T technician role. I will call you soon to set a meeting time and can be reached at (000) 333-3333 in the interim.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Jesse Gilbert
