Language Teacher Cover Letter Sample

Updated on: December 22, 2018

The debate surrounding what a good Language Teacher cover letter is and what type of cover letters are not acceptable is a never-ending one.

Individual perspective matters tremendously here.

You need to be able to create a cover letter according to the specific needs of the person who will be reading it.

But then, how do you know what his or her specific tastes are if you have never even met him or her?

Well, you don’t always have the privilege of knowing who will give your cover letter a read. So it’s best to be safe.

Writing content that is universal but will still show your uniqueness is what is required here.

Although not easy to do, this is something that you have to do. Elicit all that you have to offer by first doing a thorough self-check. Are you capable enough?

Do you successfully meet all the requirements of the job?

Can you live up to the expectations of the employer?

If the answer to all these questions is yes, you may benefit greatly from the Language Teacher cover letter sample below:

Mrs. Meredith Kercher
Principal
Resource Alliance
965 56th Street
New York, NY 96302

Dear Mrs. Kercher:

I was informed of your opening for Language Teacher at Resource Alliance and knew I must apply. This position lines up perfectly with my skills, experiences, and career goals.

I have spent the last 3 years teaching the English language to elementary school students, enrolled in the IB program at The Learning Hub. But my language teaching experience does not limit to teaching IB students only. Owing to the 10 years that I have spent teaching language in conventional capacities, I believe that I am well-suited for a position where both these areas can be amalgamated.

One achievement that I am particularly proud of is successfully incorporating activities based learning techniques into standard language lessons, making the process fun, as opposed to the rote system that most curriculums follow.

I am confident that I can easily meet your students’ requirements as far as teaching the concepts of the English language are concerned, due to my farsightedness and ability to create and implement engaging lessons.

Helping students improve their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills through both group and one on one basis is my forte, and I have been quite successful in developing and implementing language courses to meet the advanced needs of special students.

So if you are looking for a language teacher who has novel teaching ideas, please call me at (000) 254-1421 to set up an interview.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,
