Updated on: February 4, 2018

Putting pen to pixels may be a tad difficult if you have not written an Event Security Officer cover letter before.

The good news is that even if you are writing a cover letter for the 100th time, there is a great chance that you will stumble.

How is this good news?

Well, it just makes you feel a bit comfortable knowing that your inexperience in writing a cover letter is no deterrent to writing a good one!

Once you get over this feeling of helplessness – and believe us, it does pass over quite quickly – it is time to see what you need to write in a cover letter. Strong personalization, high energy, and relevant information are three areas that you need to look out for.

Your cover letter should be interesting to read, and it should consist of a moderately formal tone. If you understand this, it is time for you to go on and read the following sample:

Mr. Leonard Scott
Human Resource Manager
General Security Services Cooperation
198 Cravens Avenue
San Antonio, TX 82231

Dear Mr. Scott:

While working as an event security officer for Monumental Spots and Entertainment, I was trained in handling the safety and security of all guests and employees, along with ensuring the same for assigned premises. This experience, and the skills that I have developed due to it, goes a long way in making me a perfect person to hire as an event security officer at General Security Services Corporation.

Since I thrive in an atmosphere of challenge and excitement, working as an event security office is right down my alley. I am an individual who is alert, ambitious, and resourceful, allowing me to effectively enforce and uphold the integrity of assigned facilities and events. Monitoring entry and egress points, screening of guests’ bags, providing security escorts per event requirements, and ensuring that no prohibited items are brought in are my specific areas of concern.

As an experienced event security officer, I have the capacity to observe and report activities and incidents, and enforce regulations and directives for assigned sites, pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises. Patrolling assigned areas on foot, checking for unsafe conditions, and handling security violations, are all in a day’s work for me.

I will call you next week to see when we might be able to arrange a meeting. In the interim, if you need any additional information, please call me at (000) 453-3222. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Gabe Williams
