If you are earning a decent amount while working as a cook once a week, you might need to declare it one time or another. One requirement of this is to write an income declaration of self-employment.
As a cook, your status will be self-employed. In such a case, there is no way that you can acquire an income declaration from an organization because you don’t work for one. This letter will go from you, as you – that is, you are self-declaring your income to the authorities.
The first thing that you need to do is include a specific date of employment as a cook, and how many times a week you work. In this case, you need to highlight that you work as a cook once a week.
Then, you need to move on to detail a list of duties that you perform – that is, if asked specifically.
If you are being asked to write one because you need to apply for a loan, you might need to specify that you earn enough to pay back the loan.
Refer to the following income declaration of self-employment for a once a week cook:

Dear Mr. Carter:
I am writing this letter to verify my current income as a cook, working in a freelance capacity. This information is being provided at the special request of the bank in order to supply information on current earnings and tax payments.
At this point in time, I am self-employed as a cook and provide my services to 4 clients once a week, on the same day. My present weekly earnings per client stand at $2500 per week, paid on a monthly basis. It is expected that I will be receiving a 10% raise by 2 of my clients within this month.
Additionally, I receive a monthly pension of $600 from Development New York, a government organization where I worked for 20 years. This is a guaranteed income for the rest of my life.
Please refer to the enclosed folder, which includes bank transfer details (from clients’ accounts to mine), along with tax return proof of the last three years. All this information is accurate to the best of my knowledge.
If you need any further information, please feel free to contact me at (000) 109-1183.
