Registered Nurse Interview Thank You Letter Sample

Updated on: June 18, 2022

Post-interview thank you letters are an absolute must to write once you are done with the process.

There are two reasons to write an interview thank you letter.

The first one is that it is a polite thing to do.

Secondly, it gives you a chance to reach out to the employer once again and make your presence felt.

Unless you made an exceptionally positive impression on the interviewer, you need to highlight the fact that you were one of the people who were interviewed, and that you have a lot to offer.

If the employer/interviewer remembers you, he will welcome another contact with you.

If you are just a face in a sea of candidates, the thank you letter will remind him or her about who you are and what you have to offer particularly.

Thank you letters are a norm now.

Actually, many employers welcome these letters in the hopes of getting acquainted with the best out of the lot that has been interviewed.

Employers cannot be expected to remember the names and faces of all the people they interview, which is why they sometimes depend on the second contact to figure out who is the best option to hire.

For your reference, we have provided a post-interview thank you letter from a registered nurse here:

Dear Mr. Jacobson:

Thank you for taking out the time to interview me for the position of Registered Nurse at Countryside Health yesterday. This was a very insightful meeting.

Now that I am clearer about the roles and responsibilities of a registered nurse at your hospital, I am even more enthusiastic about working here. I firmly believe that my skill set is in direct correlation with your needs. With wide exposure to working with a variety of patients from pediatric to geriatric, I am sure that I can handle the many challenges that working as an RN poses.

At this point in time, I would like to reiterate my interest in working at your facility by virtue of my skills in the following areas:

✓ Patient Behavior Management
✓ Treatment Plans Establishment
✓ Post-operative Care
✓ Vitals Recording
✓ Diagnostic Testing
✓ Medication Administration

It would be a pleasure to meet with you again and obtain further insight into how the system works at Countryside Health. Thank you once again for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Trisha Bale
