Your resume for RN position summaries your relevant experience, education and qualifications – and your cover letter complements the same.
A good RN cover letter can make the difference by moving your job application from the initial desk to the interview pile. Therefore put your maximum effort to craft a good cover letter for Registered Nurse position.
In your letter you should mention your nursing experiences, accomplishments, certifications and relevant education. Just saying that you are a ‘Registered Nurse’ will not qualify you for an interview. Tell them that how you can utilize your specific nursing skills to achieve the patient care targets of facility.
In view of the fact that a Registered Nurse can be a diploma nurse (without licensure and training) or a degree nurse (BSN or MSN) , you have to mention your level of expertise to qualify for some organizations.
