Letter of Interest for Student LPN

Updated on: July 7, 2022

Letters of interest for student LPNs are more or less the same as cover letters.

The only difference is perhaps the fact that they are written when no job opportunity has been identified.

A Student Licensed Practical Nurse letter of interest will primarily be written to figure out if there is a vacant position, and if the hiring manager is willing to fill it with you.

Typically, a letter of interest will include all the information that a cover letter does – without the reference to a particular advertisement.

You will need to provide information regarding your skills and qualifications (and accomplishments) in a bid to convince the hiring manager to hire you even if a position isn’t yet open.

Or to keep your profile in mind when one does open.

Remember that you are firing a shot in the dark when you write a letter of interest, so if there is a delay (or lack of response), do not get discouraged.

Mr. Fredrick Quimby
Hiring Manager
Northwest Physicians
90 Mayflower Avenue
Quakertown, PA 18965

Dear Mr. Quimby:

I am writing to inquire if there is an open position to accommodate a student LPN at Northwest Physicians, at this point in time. Possessing a recent Philadelphia LPN license, I am sure that I can contribute to your facility, without the hassle of extended training and development.

As a recently licensed practical nurse, I have much to provide in terms of patient setups, vaccine administration, and phlebotomy procedures, placing special focus on patients’ needs. With my ability to educate patients and their families on specific diseases and conditions, I am sure that I will be able to handle initial patient induction with precision and clarity. In addition to this, I have been well-trained in supporting physicians and other medical providers in the care and treatment of assigned patients, by effectively facilitating their schedules. Owing to my enthusiasm, professional stance, compassionate nature, and ability to stay focused even in dire circumstances, I am positive that my addition to your team of professional LPNs will be a credit to your facility.

Furthermore, I am well-versed in providing assistance with patient examinations and treatments, along with effectively handling patients’ medical charts to document medical histories and present medical care.

If there isn’t an immediate opening at this time, I would appreciate it if you would keep my application in your record. I look forward to working with Northwest Physicians, and sincerely hope that I will be called upon to offer my services as a licensed practical nurse here.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Hannah Bridge
