Dear Mr. Brown:

I am pleased to apply for the Lifeguard position at Pearl Continental Hotel Palm Springs. With my lifeguard and CPR Certifications, and 6+ years of hands-on experience, I am certain in my ability to become the key contributor to Pearl Continental Hotel’s pool.

As noted on the enclosed resume, I am a professional swimmer who can correctly ensure the safety of adults and children. I can perform my duties efficiently in public swimming areas such as pools and beaches, schools or colleges, municipal recreation departments, private swim clubs, and hotels. My proven record of starting rescue operations and removing distressed swimmers from the water makes me a great contender.

Furthermore, I can administer first aid/CPR and am capable of giving artificial respiration if required. To ensure the protection of swimmers, l strictly enforce rules and regulations and can watch over situations that could cause accidents.

In addition to my specific lifeguard skills, I can also perform general operations and maintenance of the pool area. For instance, removing objects from the water, picking up lost items, removing trash from the pool area, and using chlorine and other relevant chemicals to ensure clean pool water.

As an experienced and safety-oriented lifeguard, I’d like the opportunity to meet with you to discuss how my qualifications and life-saving skills would be beneficial for Pearl Continental Hotel. I will contact you after seven working days to determine your interest and possibly arrange a personal meeting.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
