What were some of the main duties that you performed in the role of a quality inspector?
As a quality inspector, I have been performing many duties such as inspecting products and processes, as well as overseeing production. In addition, I have been handling resource approvals by conducting visual inspections.
My work has involved approving finished products and documenting inspection results. In particular, I was required to approve or reject raw materials and end-products, select output samples, use automated systems to perform testing procedures, and inspect procedures for the entirety of the production cycle. Similarly, I have been responsible for the full cycle of production, as it pertains to quality control and assurance.
What skills do you possess which make you an excellent person to hire as a quality inspector?
I possess a wide array of skills particular to the position of a quality inspector. For instance, I am well-versed in determining the quality of raw materials as well as finished ones. Additionally, I am talented in monitoring operations to ensure that they meet production standards.
Specifically, my skills include a keen eye for detail, a results-driven approach, and extreme familiarity with testing machines and systems.
Tell us about a time when you came out shining at the workplace.
Last month, I was testing a batch of products which showed perfection. However, I had an uncomfortable feeling all through that something was not right. It so happened that the manufacturing dates printed had a small misprint. My insight prevented the product from being returned by an unhappy customer.
What is your greatest strength?
I believe that my ability to meet deadlines constantly is my biggest strength.
And your biggest weakness would be?
I am a perfectionist, which often makes it difficult to become satisfied with end-results. However, I am working on setting realistic goals for myself.
What are your future plans?
Very soon, I intend to head the quality control department of the company where I am working.
