Acing a Home Housekeeper interview is the hardest thing ever, especially, if you are unaware of the challenges that it brings. It is all very well to have reached this stage, but if you do not go further, it will be a shame.

So let’s concentrate on how interviews must be made successful.

An interview is nothing more than a probe into what your capabilities are.

When you appear for one, make sure you are well-prepared for it.

Here is a set of interview questions for the position of a home housekeeper to help you:

Home Housekeeper Interview Questions and Answers

1. What made you pick up a career as a home housekeeper?

I have always liked to work in a household capacity, which is why I decided to couple my love for cleaning with this. And I have been working in this capacity ever since.

2. What duties have you performed in this role, in the past?

As a home housekeeper, I have been actively handling cleaning and maintenance duties, such as sweeping and mopping surfaces, vacuuming and washing rugs, carpets, and curtains, and dusting and polishing furniture. In addition to this, I have been responsible for ensuring that bathrooms and kitchens are properly cleaned, and sanitized regularly. Furthermore, my duties include peripherals such as errand-running, laundry handling, and even child care at times.

3. What is the one skill that you depend on highly when working as a home housekeeper?

My ability to multitask effectively is what I depend on quite highly to make sure that I work well in the capacity of a home housekeeper.

4. How do you handle the pressure of performing so many different types of things at the same time?

I don’t bow down to pressure or stress. Since I am an exceptionally organized individual, I manage my time in a manner that stress is almost always kept at bay. Until now, I have not had a single instance where I was unable to multitask or became overwhelmed at the prospect of doing too many things at the same time.

5. What do you think is the difference between working in a household capacity and a commercial one?

I have worked in both these capacities, and while the work is more or less the same, the execution is a bit different. In a household capacity, the need for confidence maintenance (to name one) is more profound. And so on!

6. Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?

Once I am satisfied that I have learned the ropes, I intend to take up a trainer’s position in this capacity.
