Writing a recommendation letter for an educator cannot be easy – after all, you are endorsing the fact that an individual has the capacity to impart an education that will affect many young lives.

However, if you have been asked by someone to recommend them for a teaching position, you may have no choice but to write a recommendation letter.

But there really is no reason to fret. If you are confident about the individual’s ability to deliver, you should write a glowing recommendation letter.

If you are in a position where you had the opportunity to observe the individual impart education, you may have enough material to write a recommendation letter.

A recommendation letter is all about what a person can do in the role that he is applying for, based on what he has done in a similar role previously.

So if you know what the person is capable of, writing a recommendation letter will be a piece of cake!

Typically, recommendation letters are written as general letters with “to whom it may concern” headers so that they can be used in more than one place.

To Whom It May Concern

It is a pleasure writing this recommendation letter for Vanessa Swift. Vanessa has worked as an educator at Chartered School System for three years and has proven her worth at every turn. As a supervisor during most of her assignments, I can safely say that Vanessa is a pleasure to work with.

When the MYP (Middle Years Program – IB) was first introduced at Chartered School System, it was Vanessa who took the lead and researched all the information regarding teacher training for MYP. She was also the first teacher who formally got training for teaching MYP curriculum – a feat that is no less than a lifetime of successes.

As far as her students are concerned, Vanessa is not only good at imparting education but is also a great mentor and confidante – her students look up to her and often ask her for advice when they go through personal and academic dilemmas. She takes instructions extremely well and has a great capacity to work on her own and in a team environment as was evident from her participation in the MYP training program.

It was a sad time for me when Vanessa announced her decision to leave Chartered School System for another position, but I wish her all the best in all her future endeavors. Indeed, the organization that hires her, will be a lucky one!

I can be contacted at (888) 888-8888 if you need any more information.
