Kitchen Crew Resignation Letter Sample

Updated on: June 10, 2022

Resignation letters are not only written to provide notice of your intent to leave an organization.

While this is their prime function, a resignation letter paves the way for many things for you when you want to leave a company.

Writing one is a nicety – and it also helps you seamlessly obtain your dues and leave documents.

It is often quite hard to write a resignation letter – especially if you have had a great learning experience and made amazing friends at work.

However, if you have to leave your current kitchen crew position, there really isn’t anything much that you can do.

A resignation letter will take care informing the employer that you can no longer work for him, and will help structure things for you when you leave.

In a resignation letter, do not only mention that you are leaving, and what your reasons are.

While these two things do make up the major part of a resignation letter, you may also have to provide a solution to what will happen to your work once you do leave.

If you are in the middle of an important project, you might have to hand over your work to someone. Mention how you intend to do that in your resignation letter.

To resign from a kitchen crew position, here is how you can word your resignation letter:

Mr. Wesley Brent
Human Resource Manager
Captain Cook’s
8108 Helm Street

Dear Mr. Brent:

I have recently been faced with a series of personal challenges which leave me no choice but to resign from my position as Kitchen Crew for Captain Cook’s. Respecting the fact that my contract states that I have to provide a one-month notice of my intention to leave, I would like to inform you that July 9, 2022, will be my last working day here.

A recent trip to the doctor’s followed by extensive bloodwork and other tests revealed that I have an autoimmune disease (SLE RA), which may cause me not to be able to work properly over the last few months. Since people suffering from this need to operate in controlled environments, it will be impossible for me to continue working in a place that requires one to be on his or her feet constantly. I have enjoyed working at Captain Cook’s, and have learned so much from my experience that it is almost painful to think that I will not be working here for much longer.

I would like to extend my thanks to you for providing me with such a great opportunity. I wish you the best in all your future endeavors.

Sincerely,

Violet Reese
