Cover letters for postmaster positions nowadays are not similar to what they were some years ago. A lot has changed.

While they are still used for the same purpose, they have evolved as far as the content is concerned.

No longer is it acceptable to write cover letters in the same mundane way that they used to be written in.

Now, hiring managers look for cover letters that are a class apart from all the others that they have read over the last few hours. But writing a postmaster cover letter that truly stands out is not all that easy. A great amount of effort and research is involved here.

You need to first find out what the employer is seeking, and then write a cover letter to impress the hiring manager. A bit tricky, but not impossible to do. Making sure that your cover letter beats all others for the same position is imperative.
