Geophysicist Cover Letter Sample

Updated on: August 3, 2021

Writing a Geophysicist cover letter may not be considered a great entertainment activity, but it is something that one has to do if acquiring a job is one’s main goal.

Without the benefit of a cover letter, there is very little chance that you will be able to reach out to a hiring manager who is actively looking for a prospective employee, who is amazing in all aspects.

Cover letter writing is not as cumbersome to do as it is made out to be. It is true that finding the right words and phrases can often make it difficult for us to gauge what we need to write, but if we have the right information to put into it, words and phrases come to us automatically.

So, what does one do initially? One looks for relevant information regarding skills, experience, accomplishments, and education, and then embarks on the cover letter writing journey.

Mr. Mathew Perry
Human Resource Manager
Nobel Energy
58 Captolene Avenue
Bloomingdale, NJ 07403

Dear Mr. Perry:

This letter is a strong expression of interest in obtaining the position of Geophysicist at Nobel Energy. As an experienced and resourceful individual, with extensive comprehension of independently formulating and developing advanced geophysical and geological maps, I am confident that my resume will hold a lot of meaning for you.

Over the last few years, I have been actively involved in conducting advanced research in the areas of seismic imaging and inversion, and have been highly successful in developing and implementing high-quality geophysical software for the purpose of production processing.

With a wide-ranging experience in the on-sight management of geophysical data collection, and a great ability to design and implement geophysical investigation plans and removal actions, I am confident that my addition to your team of geophysicists will be a welcome event.

In addition to this, I am sure that Nobel Energy will benefit from my insight into observing recording equipment reactions to detect irregularities, and an exceptional ability to ensure that they are handled properly. My reporting skills are above-par as you will find out soon after hiring me and seeing me in action.

In order to provide you with a wider and more profound view of my competencies in a geophysicist role, I would ideally like to meet with you in person. I will contact you soon to set up an interview time. Meanwhile, I can be contacted at (000) 222-2222.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Diane Young
