Providing ongoing support to clients suffering from emotional, physical, and mental disorders due to substance abuse is my niche. Having worked as an addiction counselor for over nine years now, I am highly experienced in providing timely, and well-placed treatment for drug addictions, and all the related issues that it brings. Hoping to give you a more comprehensive view of my abilities in this regard, I invite you to review the enclosed resume.
Perhaps my most challenging support case was that of a 7-year-old girl, who was hopelessly addicted to a dangerous drug, initially due to passive smoking, and then actively inhaling drug-infused smoke. The fact that social services had separated her from her family (who was responsible for her condition) made it even more challenging to reach her at any level.
However, she is now successfully placed in a foster home, enjoying life as any young child deserves. But this is not the only challenging case that I have handled. Meeting clients from different backgrounds and problems, and helping them cope with the repercussions of drug abuse is all in a day’s work for me. Evaluating their conditions, creating and implementing treatment plans, determining the efficacy of implemented plans, and providing continuous support to clients are areas that I am exceptionally well-versed in.
