Hiring managers receive dozens of cover letters in a day, and they have to go through all of them. And after a while, every cover letter begins to look like the last one. Why? Because most cover letters are ordinary. As an applicant, it is your job to make sure that you write a standout one, which will not blend in with the rest.

Dear Mr. Bale:

This letter and the enclosed resume is a strong expression of interest for a Building Cleaner position currently available at your company. I have worked in the capacity of a building cleaner for 6 years. The amount of exposure and experience that I have derived over these years is something that I want to extend the benefit of to your organization.

As a building cleaner, I have been successfully handling a wide variety of tasks, including sweeping and mopping floors, performing sanitization and disinfection procedures, washing curtains, rugs, and carpets, handling vacuuming duties, dusting woodwork and fixtures, and replenishing supplies in bathrooms and restrooms.

While working in this position, I accomplished a great feat, which included implementation of a trash removal and disposal system, which proved to be 80% more efficient than the one that was already in use. As a physically dexterous individual, working in an environment that requires much in terms of agility is right down my alley. Also, I am well-versed in ensuring that all alarm and fire systems are in check, and can handle a wide array of maintenance and repair work as well.

Next week, I will contact you to determine if you have a time available to meet me. In the interim, I can be contacted at (111) 111-1111.

Thank you for your time and consideration, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Veronica Lodge
